Who We Are
Serenity Swimming prides itself on high quality swim lessons that are customizes based on each childs (or adults) needs- every time!
Serenity Swimming is owned and operated by Jenni, and employees high quality instructors with many years of experience.
In private lessons, swimmers progress significantly faster, and we can focus on the complex skills that are difficult to master in a group lesson. Often times, in a group setting, children don't have the time to develop the trusting relationship with the instructor. Building this relationship allows them to express their fears and challenges so we can work through them together by breaking them into small, manageable objectives with positive praise each step along the way. Fun and praise is incorporated so the children want to do that skill they were afraid of (frequently underwater)
Likewise, for the rapidly progressing swimmer that is mastering skills quickly, we can move on to more challenging goals at their speed.

Our Facility
Located next to the Frederick Airport is our new swim facility-- designed specifically for the families of Frederick!
Our 22x75 ft pool features an extended shallow end, along with a small 7 foot deep area.
The small 7 ft deep area allows us to teaching treading water and build confidence swimming in deep water- both critical for being a safe swimmer.
The length (75 ft) is 25 yds- which is the same length as swim team- and the length needed for most swim tests.
The 22 ft width allows for 3 lap lanes.
Our extended steps are amazing to allow kids to not feel rushed to enter/ exit the pool-- and for amazing step swims and backfloats.
The water temp and air are the same-- both about 87-89 degrees- perfectly temperature for learning to swim!
Parents can watch from the comfortable off deck parent viewing area.
Each of our bathroom/ change rooms, are generously sized and individual family rooms.
Off street, free parking is available! Plus a view of the Frederick Airport to see planes and helicopters take off/ land.
The facility is designed to grow with your family and we have listened to the wants/ needs. The facility was designed by a swim instructor for the families and instructors!

Owner - Swim Instructor
I (Jenni) have a professional background in both swim lessons and lifeguarding, with experience teaching all ages and abilities! I have enjoyed working with children with special needs and adapting to how they learn best. I am certified in the Swim Whisperers® Program, Level 1.
I grew up in Florida around water- always in it between swim team and lakes. During summers in my high school and first year in college, I volunteered and then became staff at a Girl Scout camp where I taught swim lessons and lifeguarded, ultimately becoming the assistant waterfront director. Looking back, this was critical in the formation to becoming the swim instructor I am today.
My experience since then has ranged from coaching high school swim teams to being a lifeguard supervisor and teaching a wide range of swim lessons. Ultimately, I saw the benefits of private swim lessons compared to group lessons. When starting Serenity Swimming, I opted to focus on private swim lessons for that very reason-- put the kids first!
Outside of the pool, I can be found playing board games with my husband or hiking with our 2 huskies dogs.
Meet Our Staff
Our instructors are amazing! Everyone of these instructors is here for the right reasons and wants to teach swimming! Each has passed a fingerprinted background check (same level used for childcare). Most instructors are CPR certified, and soon most will have their lifeguard certifications current.

Now, Splash helps lead water games, cheer on new swimmers, and bring joy to every pool party . Whether you’re learning to swim or just here to make memories, Splash is your biggest fan.

Fun Fact: Splash can swim in circles so fast, the water turns into a whirlpool of giggles.!!

I have been swimming since I could walk and am passionate about sharing this vital skill with others. I teach swim lessons because swimming has been a therapeutic practice in my life, and I love its ability to help regulate the nervous system and promote well-being. Safety is my top priority, and I strive to create a nurturing environment for all my students. With experience teaching children with autism, I tailor my approach to meet each child's unique needs and strengths, ensuring a positive and enjoyable learning experience. Let’s dive into the joy of swimming together!

I teach swim lessons because there is nothing more rewarding than helping a child feel safe and confident in the water. I love helping kids build confidence and learn a life-saving skill in a safe, fun, and supporting environment. As a former competitive swimmer, I am passionate about creating an exciting environment while also critiquing swimming techniques. I especially enjoy working with cautious swimmers as they may start slow, but they often make the biggest leaps. Parents feedback: she is patient, encouraging, and tailors each lesson to fit the child’s needs.

I grew up in the pool, eventually competing on swim team through high school. Swimming has always been a big part of my life, and now I love passing on that experience by teaching others. Whether it's helping a toddler feel comfortable in the water or refining strokes for older swimmers, I enjoy working with all ages. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a swimmer go from barely doggy paddling to confidently swimming laps.
Parents can feel confident choosing me because I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment that encourages progress at every level!

I've loved swimming for as long as I can remember, and now I share that passion by helping young children learn to swim. I understand how important it is to feel safe, confident, and comfortable in the water. Teaching swim lessons lets me pass on what I've learned in a way that's fun, supportive, and encouraging. Parents appreciate that I am patient, easy to talk to, and focused on making every lesson a positive experience. I take the time to get to know each swimmer, adjust to their pace, and create an environment where learning is both effective and fun.
