Splash Summer Camp 2026
At Serenity Swimming’s Summer Camp, kids enjoy a full day of fun and friendship in and out of the water. Designed for children 6 and up who love the water, our camp blends swimming with engaging activities, teamwork, and play. Each day includes two swim sessions, games, crafts, movement and team-building activities, and plenty of time for laughter. With a structured flow and small group environment, campers build confidence and create lasting memories—all in a positive, supportive setting.
Camp is limited to 15 children that will have completed Kindergarten weekly* so highly recommend signing up early.
*We might add a half day option for 5 yrs+ that would bring the total campers up a few but with an extra staff member.
We are certified Maryland Youth Camp and always have 2 staff onsite CPR certified.

Splash Camp FAQ
Q: Are you a certified Maryland Youth Camp? Are staff certified in CPR?
A: YES! We prioritize safety and have taken the necessary steps to become a certified MD youth camp. We encourage you to verify your other summer camps are also certified- especially those that include activities that have risk associated with them. Yes, we have a minimum of 2 staff certified in CPR at all times on site!
Q: Will my child be outside during the day?
A: Very small amounts. We will complete our required fire drill (Monday's- about 5 min), might go outside for a special fire truck visit or walk to the airport. Prior to your camp week, we will let you know what days/ times these are.
Q: What should my child bring to camp?
A: Please send your camper with the following items each day:
- Swimsuit (worn under clothing at drop-off)
- Towel
- Water bottle (water fountains available for refills)
- Packed lunch (no refrigeration or heating provided)
- Goggles (optional, but recommended)
- Underwear/ clothes to change into
- Optional: a second swimsuit and towel for the afternoon swim
- Optional: hair brush, lotion, etc for after swim
All items should be
clearly labeled with your child’s name. Please leave valuables at home!
Q: Is my child ready for summer day camp?
A: Campers should be able to:
- Follow staff directions (if you aren't sure, try a parent night out first)
- Respect other campers
- Use the restroom independently
- Change in and out of the swimwear without assistance
- Comfortable swimming in the pool
Q: What are your staff-to-child ratios?
A:
- In the pool: ratios are at least 1:10, but typically 1:6 to 1:7
- Overall camp ratio: at least 1:15, but typically approximately 1:8
- Camp enrollment is capped at 15
campers per week to ensure personalized attention and a supportive environment.
Q: What if my child is a weak swimmer?
A: Safety is our top priority. On Day 1, all campers complete a swim assessment to determine:
- Deep water readiness
- Shallow water swimmer
- Or if a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket is required (we provide these)
We highly encourage adding swim lessons to your camper’s registration! Lessons take place during camp hours, so your child builds skill and confidence while still enjoying the full camp experience. If their swim ability improves, we’ll happily reassess!
Q: What ages can attend Splash Camp?
A: Camp weeks are designed for those that have completed Kindergarten and older. If you have an almost 6 yr that is ready for camp, we can allow them.
Q: Why not open it to younger campers?
A: The short answer is because we care. The longer answer is full day camp with 2 swims can feel long to kids not use to full days of school and we want to send home happy good levels of tired campers- not overly tired kids. We want kids safe (not tired) in the pool. We wants kids looking forward to coming to camp- not feeling tiring from the previous day. If you think your child is an exception and is ready, reach out and we can talk.
Q: Are snacks provided?
A: Yes! We provide
two light snacks per day. If your child has allergies or dietary needs, we recommend sending additional snacks from home. Typically on Friday's we will do a special cupcake and M&M activity.
Q: My child has special needs or medical conditions. Can they attend?
A: We want every child to feel safe and supported. Please reach out to us prior to registration so we can discuss your child’s specific needs and determine if we can provide appropriate accommodations within our staff ratios and safety protocols.
Q: Can I sign up for multiple weeks?
A: Absolutely! Each week features unique activities, so your child will stay engaged and excited.
Q: Why do you require a health history?
A: This is part of the Maryland Youth Camp requirements. We have a qualified medical professional review these and is on-call during Summer Camp.
